Peter Wooldridge hails from Krugersdorp, a mining town situated in the West Rand district of Gauteng Province, South Africa.
After attending the Johannesburg School of Arts, in 1965 Peter obtained a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Witwatersrand, where he was voted Student of the Year. He initially followed a career as a Graphic designer, working for a number of top advertising agencies and produced for a number of the leading industrial and commercial entities such as Hewlett Packard and Rand Mines Limited.
Later he began to concentrate full-time on his art and has established a unique style of painting, using various natural mediums.
His work has been exhibited by the top galleries in Johannesburg and Pretoria and graces the walls of many private collections, including that of the late industrialist Marino Chiavelli. (Flickr slideshow)
